Feelings

I closed my eyes and braced for the impact. Then there was silence and slowly sound came back to my ears. I was surrounded by Navy personnel and I was feeling like there was an out of body experience going on. I closed my eyes and cried not knowing who to reach out to. I wanted my Mother and being a man I knew that crying was bad for me and to have shipmates looking at me and preparing me for the trip to the hospital.
